• Welcome to my photography blog! I do photography as a hobby and live in Weatherford, Texas. While Weatherford isn't really the "heart of Texas", I am a Texan and consider my photos as indeed "from the heart of Texas" thus my blog name. I love taking images of nature, flowers, people, animals, fun places and things that I find interesting. I have done some portraits that you can see here on my blog in my photo gallery. The Round Robin Photo Challenge ~ By the Water

“All you really need this time of year
Is a pair of shades and ice cold beer
And a place to sit somewhere near water”

~ from the song, “Water” written by Chris Dubois, John Lovelace & Brad Paisley

This week the photo challenge from The Round Robin is “By the Water.”  Any water….a bottle of water, a glass of water, ocean, lake, river etc.

These first two photos are from a recent Sunday afternoon boat outing at Lake Bridgeport, Texas.

Crane by the water.

Rocks by the water.

This next photo I took for my Oh Shoot! Digital Scavenger Hunt on Facebook.  The subject was “Looking Through.”  I took this photo of raindrops through my windshield.  It was starting to rain but the sky in front of me was still bright blue!

Enjoy the day!

love the creativity in that last shot!

Were there any rainbows about on that day?

Have a great weekend. :)

I like those big flat rocks. They almost look like they were carved into big stone blocks and then thrown about by a baby giant.

Great pictures—what a pretty place in Texas. The raindrops against the clouds really show up beautifully!!

Hi Sandy :)

I like these photos very much, especially the last one. It has a certain surreal quality to it! Nicely done!
