Last Sunday while on a Social Shoot with other photographers, I took a few minutes to snap this photo of the “Vortex” at the Modern Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas. I like this silhouette of it against the blue (and hot) August sky. I’ll have to plan another visit in the fall to take more photos. This 2002 sculpture was created by Richard Serra. It stands 67 feet tall and weighs a whopping 230 tons! Yes, TONS!! It is made of steel that oxidized over time into it’s rich patina color.

And then when I stepped around to the other side of the museum building I saw this lovely cloud formation–it would have been nice if it had turned into a rain cloud, but it did not.

It is so nice that it is Friday! Not sure yet what our plans are for the weekend…hopefully a bit of relaxing, a bit of blogging, maybe some scrapbooking or card making, dinner out and if it’s cool enough– a Sunday afternoon road trip!
Have a great weekend and don’t forget to click here to go over to SkyWatch Friday for a list of other blogs and skies from around the world!
