It’s Thursday! ~ Hanging Out With Photogs

Surprise! The weather has been absolutely amazing here the last few days!  We had this cool front (the weatherman says “cold” front but I tend to think of it more as a front that cooled things off rather than making it cold) and the temps starting yesterday have been almost  fall like–we were even able to turn the air conditioner off yesterday and open all the windows…all day long!  This morning we had the windows open but by lunch it was time to close them and turn that AC on.  Still not as blazing hot as it has been the past several weeks!  Like on Sunday…oh my! Sunday was a scorcher!!  And that is the day of the first Photographer  Social Shoot with Bella Pop Photography! We met up at the Kimbell and Modern Art Museums in Fort Worth, Texas to photograph a model and other things if we wanted and ask questions.  The super cute Merry Jett was our model for the afternoon.  She was fabulous!  You would  never guess that the temps were hovering around 104-105 degrees!  She was one cool cookie!

Loved the balloons on the grass but I guess balloons don’t like grass because every time one touched a blade of grass (it was windy), a balloon  popped!

Then while Merry made a wardrobe change, I started taking photos of other things, like the Vortex sculpture, the statue by Joan Mir’o, the sky and the pink blooms of the crape myrtle trees.  (I’ll be sharing a few pics of the sculpture, statue and sky tomorrow and on Sunday).

Oooh…love the background bokeh I caputured on this next one…

As a result I fell behind from the group and missed out on some fabulous model sessions with Merry in some awesome red boots.  But I caught up in time to get a few shots of the group photographing her!

The Social Shoot was a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to the next one in September.  If you are a photographer (beginner, hobbyiest, professional) and you live in the Dallas/Fort Worth and surrounding area, click over to the Bella Pop website and sign up for their newsletter!  The more photogs to hang out with the better!  We learn so much from each other!  And thanks Merry for being such a fantastic model!

Well, “It’s Thursday!”  and that means tomorrow is Friday and then the weekend!  What have you got planned?

Have a good one!

HAHAHAHA! That's awesome! Another photo of me standing on that pillar. Or is it a trash can? From your angle it looks like a trash can! Pretty, pretty photos of Merry! My favorite is the b&w one. :-D

Nice job! She was a great model if it was over 100 degrees! She doesn't look the least bit hot. Really liked the other pics too!
