It is my hope that I will have at least 2 or 3 special photo sessions a year. This is how it works: the friends or family of a child or young person that has a life threatening disease or is disabled (ages birth to 21) contacts Inspiration Through Art and applies for a free Hero portrait session. If they are approved, they will be given a list of Inspiration Through Art professional photographers in their area. They then contact a photographer from the list and schedule a photo session for the hero and their immediate family. The session is free (a gift from the photographer) and they will receive either a CD/DVD of 20 or more image files or prints from the photographer. I will be giving a DVD of the hand edited images from my sessions of about 25-30 images or more. These photos will usually be taken at their home or other location where they are comfortable or even at the hospital if necessary.
If you know a child who suffers from a serious illness or life altering disability, please tell their family about Inspiration Through Art. If you have a child that is a hero from a serious illness or disability, you can apply too. Visit the Inspiration Through Art website and click on “Apply for a Hero Session.” You can even tell them that once they are approved that they may contact me to schedule their free session even if my name is not on their photographer list. I will be able to confirm their status with Inspiration Through Art to expedite their session and get it scheduled on my calendar along with the necessary forms required by Inspiration Through Art.
Thank you,
~ Sandy
