• Welcome to my photography blog! I do photography as a hobby and live in Weatherford, Texas. While Weatherford isn't really the "heart of Texas", I am a Texan and consider my photos as indeed "from the heart of Texas" thus my blog name. I love taking images of nature, flowers, people, animals, fun places and things that I find interesting. I have done some portraits that you can see here on my blog in my photo gallery. Ellipsis Monday Photo Shoot (On Wednesday) ~ Faces

I had these photos on Monday that I wanted to post for the Ellipsis Monday Photo Shoot.  This week the subject is “faces.”  But I ran out of time and then forgot until today.  These are photos that I took at my recent family reunion at Lake Whitney in Texas.  It was brutally hot that weekend with temps near 100 degrees fahrenheit which is not our normal for the first of June (even for Texas!)  And because it was so hot, I didn’t take as many photos as I usually do….me and hot temps with sweat running in my eye do not mix well with my camera and my brain…I tend to shut down mentally and physically.   But in spite of my lack of photographic enthusiasm, I was able to capture a few good family face shots….

“I’ve never seen a smiling face that was not beautiful.”

Have a great day and click here  to go to the Ellipsis Monday Photo Shoot next Monday to see the linking list for more “faces.”

Thanks Valerie!  Me and decent photos of real people are usually an accident or just lucky!

My husband used to love to make faces whenever anyone took a picture of him. That seemed to go on down to our sons. LOL! I love that you got everyone with their cheeks puffed out. Perfect!
